Richard Gutierrez wants to help Japan quake victims

RICHARD GUTIERREZ’ return as “Captain Barbell” will officially start airing on March 28. If he’s given the chance to help people as Captain Barbell, what would be his priority? “I will fly to Japan and help the victims of the killer quake and tsunami there. Awang-awa ako sa mga tao roon when I watch TV news. I’ve done a documentary on earthquakes and I know how devastating they can be.”

He feels blessed to have twin careers as an actor and also as a host of environmental docus. “My passion is really acting and I welcome doing again an action-adventure show like ‘Captain Barbell’. Hosting informative shows with the GMA Public Affairs team gives me a different kind of fulfilment as it helps people prepare on what to do when disasters strike.”
