Paolo Bediones spends birthday with victims in Japan

TV5’S NEWS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS people really mean serious business as they sent “Aksyon” anchor Paolo Bediones and Jove Francisco to cover the nuclear plant explosion in Fukushima, Japan, never mind if the threat of radiation is hovering over them. Aside from covering that and the aftermath of the killer quake and tsunami, they also hope to extend some help to the victims of the twin disasters. Prior to this, Paolo had a live phone report in “Aksyon” from Stan Grant, CNN international correspondent in Tokyto about the radiation scare and update on the rescue and relief operations.

Paolo celebrated his 37th birthday in Japan last Thursday, March 17, while covering the effects of the disaster. Working on his natal day is something not really new to him as he once also celebrated his birthday years ago while covering the Ozone Disco fire that killed about 150 people.
