ATTY. JOJI ALONSO announces that her new film, “Bisperas”, with Director Jeffrey Jeturian, with whom she did the award-winning “Kubrador”, is about to be completed and will be released in July as part of Cinemalaya. It’s about a family on the verge of a breakup, with Tirso Cruz III and Raquel Villacencio as the parents, Jennifer Sevilla and Julia Clarete as the daughters and Edgar Allan Guzman as the gay son. Julia is currently the most controversial member of the cast. She has broken up with her husband and is now on with former actor Illac Diaz who’s the nephew of Gloria Diaz. Comedian Giselle Sanchez, who moonlights as a reporter, wrote in her column that Julia stormed a church in San Pablo, Laguna because she got jealous and suspected Illac was having an affair with Laguna board member Angelica Jones. Both Illac and Julia have denied any such thing happened and we’re told Illac is now seriously considering filing a case of libel against Giselle if she wouldn’t retract it as what she wrote are all lies.
