Gelli de Belen plays a witch

AFTER PLAYING the role of a suffering amnesiac mom in “Bantatay”, Gelli de Belen is glad to be Marian Rivera’s villainous boss in “Spooky Nights Presents Bampirella” that starts airing this Saturday. “Hindi lang ako kontrabida kay Marian kundi isa ring witch,” she says. “May power ako and I curse para pumangit siya at maging isang bampira. After doing drama, I welcome this horror comedy as a breaker.”

Gelli wants to correct the impression that she is soon migrating to Canada with husband Ariel and their two sons. “Yes, nasabi ko yan noon, but we’re not doing it in the near future. We’ll only stay in Canada, kunsaan galing si Ariel, when our sons are already in college. E, grade school pa lang sila ngayon so malayo pa yun.”

The cast members of “Bampirella” were asked: If they’d really turn into vampires, who‘s the first person they’d want to bite? Marian Rivera: “Siempre ako, I’ll bite si Dingdong.” Gelli: “Ako, si Ariel.” Gladys Guevarra: “Ako si Marc Abaya kasi may bedscene kami rito sa ‘Bampirella’.” Newcomer Mikael Daez: “Ako si Gladys.” Why her? “Why not her?”
