Born on Feb. 15, 2001, Angeli started as an extra in GMA’s “Magpakailanman” when she was 4 then she auditioned for “Darna” and was hired to play the little Marian Rivera. From there, she played Bernard Palanca’s daughter in “Ngayon at Kailanman”, Kris Bernal’s sister in “Last Prince” and as Glaiza de Castro’s friend in “Grazilda”. But her biggest role is as Cookie, the orphaned daughter of Mikee Cojuangco who inherits the “Magic Palayok” and maltreated by greedy aunts Cherie Gil and Chynna Ortaleza where she gets directed by Joel Lamangan. She impressed Joel so much that he got her to play the role of a feisty child who fights the Abu Sayyaf in his new film, “Patikul”.
“We have a child superstar in Angeli,” says Joel. “She has all it takes to make it: great talent, good attitude and the most important thing of all, she’s got the drive as she really wants to be in showbiz. You’ll just fall in love with her as Cookie in ‘Magic Palayok’ and as Ciara Sotto’s daughter in ‘Patikul’.”
“Mahirap pong role ko sa ‘Magic Palayok’ kasi may scenes na uma-acting ako by myself at special effects ang mga kasama ko, like si Manilyn Reynes as the magic palayok na puro sa chroma lang nakikita.”
Who’s her idol and who are her crushes? “Idol ko po si Ate Marian Rivera and I want to work with her again. Crush ko sina Richard Gutierrez and Aljur Abrenica. “
In grade 5 at Angelicum home study program, her dad is a cab driver and her mom is about to give birth to a new baby sister anytime now. “Panganay po ako. After me, may boy na 4 years old. Dream ko is to buy our own house kasi umuupa lang kami ngayon sa Batasan Hills.” Angeli is managed by Manny Valera.
