Bearwin Meily's tip on how to lose weight

COMEDIAN BEARWIN Meily is the perfect role model of overweight people who want to lose their excess poundage. When he joined showbiz in “Palibhasa Lalake” more than ten years ago, he was about 200 lbs. That was really too big for his 5’7” frame. “Candidate ako for a heart attack,” he says. After a year of trying to reduce, he’s now down to 155 lbs. “I did it by running,” he says when he guested in “Showbiz Central” and ran on a treadmill for two hours. Turning 34 on April 4, he now feels very fit.

“My blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, lahat normal. But you must also have discipline kasi being in showbiz can be fattening. Kain kayo ng kain. So I had to lessen my food intake and eat more of the right foods like fruits and vegetables. I also stopped smoking and started running. First, dun lang sa subdivision namin sa Cainta but now, umaabot na ko hanggang Antipolo. I run about 15 to 20 kilometers starting at 4:30 AM. I have since joined races and marathons from 10 to 42 kilometers. Kapag hindi ako nakatakbo, hinahanap ng katawan ko.”
