Angelica Panganiban should show more restraint after her conflict with the twitter fan

IF ANGELICA PANGANIBAN would make true her threat to sue the Phil Younghusband fan named Baby Morales, with user name @anilmorales, who maligned her and her BF Derek Ramsay on Twitter, this would be a test case if celebrities could really get back at their hecklers through legal action. In the States, controversial rocker Courtney Love was sued by a fashion designer named Dawn Simorangkir for her series of Twitter messages in 2009 that the designer claimed defamed her. Courtney was made to pay $430,000 in damages. Wow, that’s a big amount, isn’t it? Courtney has learned her lesson and is not using Twitter anymore.

What happened should also be a lesson for Angelica and her detractor for them to control their tongue in future twits. For Angelica, someone popular like her should show more restraint in expressing her opinion, especially now that the power of social media like Twitter and Facebook to disseminate damaging statements have already been proven. Huwag siyang mapagpatol. Celebrities will always have haters from people who don’t have exciting lives of their own and resort to bashing celebs. Ang pumatol, talo.
