Coco Martin on his lead role in Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin

WHO WOULD’VE thought that after starting in sexy indie films like “Masahista” and “Serbis” where he had full frontal nudity, Coco Martin would be a top ABS actor getting his biggest break playing the dual roles of a bandit and a soldier in “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” that starts airing on March 7? He’s treated like a big superstar with two leading ladies, Andi Eigenmann and Maja Salvador, and supported by top veteran stars like Lorna Tolentino, Amy Austria, Boots Anson Roa, Ronaldo Valdez, Tonton Gutierrez and John Estrada. Appearing in guest roles are Albert Martinez, Kim Chiu, Erich Gonzales, Agot Isidro, Angel Aquino and Xian Lim, directed by Ruel Bayani.

“This is the most demanding role I’ve played and I really trained the way soldiers train,” says Coco. “For the tulisan role, we shot in the jungle at talagang napakahirap ng shoot. I made sure na talagang very different from each other ang personalities ng two characters na ginagampanan ko. I want to thank all my senior co-stars sa suportang binigay nila sa’kin. Wala silang ere at ginabayan nila talaga ako.”
