Carlo Gonzalez and Luane Dy hooking up just a gimmick to promote I Heart You Pare

IS THE ADMISSION of Luane Dy and Carlo Gonzalez at the presscon of “I Heart You Pare”, which starts tonight after “Machete”, a gimmick to help promote GMA-7’s new primetime show? “Naku, hindi po,” says Carlo. “Hindi naman kami ang bida rito. At least, hindi namin tinatago. Di ba naiinis kayo kapag tinatanong ang mga artista kung on sila tapos ang sagot, we’re friends. So eto, umamin kami, tapos we’re accused na gumigimik. Wala kaming napagkayarian ni Luane na sige, aminin natin sa presscon na tayo na. We just go with the flow. E, tinanong nyo kami, so we’re just being honest. Bago pa lang kami. Wala pang one month.”

What does he like in Luane? “We’re both enjoying each other’s company. Yun naman ang importante, di ba? We don’t hide anything from each other. Wala kaming pretensions.”

Carlo is managed by Perry Lansigan, who also manages Dingdong Dantes. He started his career last year in “Stairway to Heaven”, followed by “Langit sa Piling Mo”. A former basketball player who stands 6’2”, he now enjoys acting. “It’s very fulfilling. Bad guy ang role ko ngayon sa ‘I Heart You Pare’ so ibang-iba sa roles ko before na best friend ng bida. This time, I’m a hired assassin assigned to hunt and kill Regine Velasquez.” Does he dream of playing a lead role someday? “Yes, why not? At sana, si Luane ang leading lady ko.
