TV 5 Exec Peachy Guioguio proud about high ratings

TV 5 PR EXEC Peachy Vibal Guioguio tells us that they’re officially groundbreaking the construction of their new building and studios at Reliance St., Mandaluyong next week. “The construction has actually started but yung official groundbreaking, next week pa lang,” she says. “We’re celebrating as the revitalized network made a lot of great accomplishments in 2010 even if we just started. ‘Willing Willie’ consistently figures in top program rankings and we already dominate the weekend primetime ratings with ‘Talentadong Pinoy’, ‘LOL’ and ‘Midnight DJ’. Our goal for 2011 is to also conquer primetime weeknights with the solid viewership gained by such shows as ‘Untold Stories from Face to Face’, ‘Star Confessions’, ‘Lokomoko U’, ‘Hapi Together’ and ‘Inday Wanda’. We show remarkable presence and viewership gain in Mega Manila, but even in audience shares nationwide, tumaas kami even before we’ve installed our new and improved transmitter signals all over the country. Up north, we already powered up viewership with the installation of our Baguio transmitter with 100,000 people gathering at the Lingayen beach for our first on-tour show, improving our ratings in Metro Dagupan with a leap to 42.3% based on Nielsen TV Audience Measurement for Dec. 18. With our expansion plans in 2011, we’re confident we’ll gain more viewership nationwide.”

An ad agency exec tells us that ABS has reason to feel sore at TV5 because it’s their viewers that TV5 is stealing. “Best example is ‘TV Patrol’, sila ang nananakawan ng audience ng ‘Willing-Willie’ kaya bumaba ang ratings nila samantalang ang ’24 Oras’ ng GMA, hindi natitinag, kaya it’s not surprising na di nila basta mapatawad si Willie,” says our source.

TV5 is also beefing up its Sunday afternoon shows. This Sunday at 1 PM, world class diva Lani Misalucha powers up “P.O.5” along with the birthday celebration of Alex Gonzaga, the reunion of the all male group “You’ve Got Male” (Bryan Termulo, Jan Nieto and Harry Santos last seen in “SOP”), plus the reunion of “Ang TV” stars Rica Peralejo, Julia Clarete and Jan Marini.
