Stephanie Henares tries acting

STEPHANIE HENARES, host of “X Life” on Q Channel 11, finally ventures into acting in “Machete” as the best friend of Ryza Cenon who helps in torturing Bela Padilla. “Contravida role ko but I don’t mind,” she says. “Maldita ako, a bitch who pushed Bela in one scene kaya nabagok ulo niya. It’s a challenge for me as I’m not one in real life. Mas intriguing to play villain than lead role agad. Hopefully, it will lead to more acting roles.”

She accepted her first acting job only after taking several workshops with GMA Artist Center. “I took all kinds of acting from comic to dramatic up to improvisations. I want to thank our executive produce, Redgie Magno, for making me a part of ‘Machete’ and we’re all happy as it’s rating very well. I also want to thank Ryza with whom I have plenty of scenes together as she really helps interpret my role, lalo na in delivering my lines more effectively. Sana I get to act with my ‘X-Life’ cohosts, JC Tiuseco and Gino de la Paz.”

How do her parents Ronnie and Ida Henares react to her acting? “They haven’t seen me yet. But they were all surprised sa favorable comments ng teachers ko sa workshops who said may ibubuga raw ako sa acting.”
