Ian de Leon says mom Nora is definitely coming home soon

Ian de Leon

IAN DE LEON plays a policeman in “Alakdana” who starts as a friend of title-roler Louise de los Reyes but later becomes her enemy. Since his mom Nora Aunor is very much in the news for allegedly having lost her voice in a cosmetic procedure, the first thing asked of Ian is how Ate Guy is doing now. “May improvement naman sa voice niya,” he says. “Nagkausap kami noong Christmas, kuwentuhan, at parang normal na uli. May offers na nga raw sa kanya to do shows there, which means she can perform again.”

Is she really coming home soon? “Well, kasama ko doon sa mga umaasang babalik na nga siya. Kasi two years ago, sinabi nang uuwi siya, then last year daw darating. Ngayon, sabi within the next four months ang uwi niya, so sana nga, totoo na kasi marami nang nag-aabang sa kanya.”

Where will his mom live when she comes home? “She’ll be renting her own place, kasi hindi puede sa’kin as nakatira lang ako sa compound ng dad ko (Christopher de Leon) and it’s a small one. Siempre she’ll be more comfortable to be in her own place for her own privacy. But definitely, babalik siya para mag-artista uli kasi maraming nakaka-miss sa kanya. Malaking bagay yung kung isang Nora Aunor, babalik sa showbiz at sana nga gumanda uli ang takbo ng career niya.”

When not acting, Ian is busy as a digital artist. “I’m into digital painting and I also studied visual effects. Nagsimula ito as a hobby but now, I’m very serious about developing it so I can have my own exhibit in the future.”
