Gerald Anderson Vs. Aljur Abrenica

GERALD ANDERSON will be ABS-CBN’s answer to GMA-7’s Aljur Abrenica who’s baring his chiselled physique in “Machete”. Gerald says his new year’s resolution is: “To have the best body that I can get. Aside for health reasons, demanding kasi ang projects ko this year so I want my body to be in tiptop shape.”

He’s now training everyday for his action-drama project, “Rod Santiago’s Buhawi Jack” where he plays the title role. “Arnis kasi yung martial arts dito and the cast members really need to learn the basics para we can do our fight scenes well,” Gerald explained. The actor revealed that he has got splinters and blisters because of his rigorous training but he doesn’t mind. He’s paired with the newest star in the Kapamilya stable of talents, Jewel Mische, who is also training for the said Pinoy martial arts. Playing villain to him is Ralph Fernandez, the eldest son of Lorna Tolentino and the late Rudy Fernandez who has now ventured into acting.

“Rod Santiago’s Buhawi Jack” will be aired every Saturday, starting on January 22 on ABS-CBN.
