MMFF Awards Night and Full Coverage of Ogie-Regine wedding reception on GMA 7 tonight

TWO BIG SPECIAL events will be shown on GMA-7 on Sunday: The Metro-Manila Filmfest Awards Night at the Meralco Theatre, followed by the full coverage of the wedding reception of Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez entitled “A Duet to Forever”. Produced by Tesz Celestino of Airtime Marketing and directed by Al Quinn, the filmfest awards night will be a star-studded affair with well produced production numbers unlike the lackluster awards nights of recent years.

Marian Rivera, star of “Super Inday and the Golden Bibe”, will lead the lavish opening number with Mark Herras, Mart Escudero, Gwen Zamora, and child stars Buboy Villar and Jillian Ward. Top singers Pops Fernandez, Kuh Ledesma, Christian Bautista and Arnel Pineda will have their own song numbers while big stars like Vilma Santos, Sharon Cuneta, Lorna Tolentino, Richard Gomez, Aga Muhlach, Christopher de Leon, Cesar Montano, Phillip Salvador and Piolo Pascual (all past Metro filmfest acting winners) will have their own participation. The Red Carpet arrival of stars start at 6 PM, with the program proper starting at 7:30 PM. Most people predict "Rosario" will harvest most of the trophies since it's the only serious drama among the entries that are mostly escapist fare.
