Kyla, waiting for Rich proposal

FRESH FROM HER successful “Soulmate” concert with Jay-R at Music Museum recently, Kyla now launches her 8th album under PolyEast, “Private Affair”, today at “Party Pilipinas”. This time, the R&B Princess also does jazz and it’s quite impressive. The album has 11 tracks and you should hear her own version of “Listen”, “How Deep Is Your Love” (the Bee Gees hit especially requested by her BF, cager Rich Alvarez, to express their deep love for each other after being together for five years), “Keep the Faith”, “Camouflage”, and Tagalog songs “Mahal Kita, Di Mo Pansin” (the carrier single now heard on air) and “Dagli Na Lang”. A standout cut is “Don’t Tie Me Down” that she co-wrote and produced with friends Jay-R, Billy Crawford and Kris Lawrence. “Working with brilliant artists like them was a great learning experience for me,” she says. Another special song is “A Song for the Love in Summer”, written by her dad for her mom in 1975. “I’m so proud of this track as it’s important to my parents, an example of how music can inspire people and connect them with so much love. Tuwang-tuwa ang mom at dad ko na isinama ko ang song nila sa album.”

How about her? Is she ready to build her own family like her parents? “I feel ready na ko at kaya ko pa rin naman to go on singing later, but then, ayokong i-pressure si Rich na mag-propose na.”
