2010 Yearender Part 5b - Permanent Goodbyes

The grim reaper is busy this year. First to bid this world goodbye was Mila Ocampo, actress mom of Snooky Serna, in January. Those who also went to the great beyond are Marco Polo Garcia (actor son Lucita Soriano and the late Boy Garcia) and comedian Oscar Obligacion in March, Palito (Reynaldo Hipolito in real life) and singer Fred Panopio (famous for his yodelling) in April, writer Archie de Calma and actor Conrad Poe in June, comedians Prospero Luna and Redford White in July, 2009 Bb. Pilipinas International Melody Gersbach in a car crash in August, and talent manager Wyngard Tracy in November.

Many showbiz denizens were left behind by their loved ones. First was Toni Rose Gayda (daughter of Rosa Rosal) whose son James Lim fell from his condo unit and Cesar Montano whose son Angelo Manhilot shot himself after a fight with his girlfriend. Those who lost their moms include Francine Prieto (Mrs. Amelia Falcon), Director Jeffrey Jeturian (Mrs. Fe Cristina Jeturian), and Gardo Versoza (Mrs. Purissima Torres). Anjo and Jomari Yllana lost their brother Robbie in May, while Angelika de la Cruz lost younger brother Edward in a road accident in June. Let’s all pray for the repose of their souls.

Those who suffered health setbacks this year include William Martinez who had a stroke and Lyka Ugarte who tried to commit suicide again for the nth time.
