When Gov. Vi arrived, it’s like the president of the Philippines was the one who came. It’s not announced in the papers but the huge crowd that followed her scared the security men assigned to protect her. When she started speaking, everyone listened attentively and everyone commented what a lively speaker she is as there was never a dull moment. Of course, she promoted their own products from Batangas.
After her speech, she granted a picture-taking session with those who attended the affair, all eager to have a foto with her. The next day, Ate Vi went to watch the Araneta concert of her friend Ai Ai de las Alas and even sang with her at one point. This week, we will be having lunch with her along with other writer friends so we’ll have more stories about her later.
