MARIAN RIVERA ASKED MARICEL SORIANO'S PERMISSION TO REMAKE SUPER INDAY

MARIAN RIVERA is very open in her admiration for Maricel Soriano who’s versatile to do both drama and comedy with equal ease, so she’s now flattered to remake one of Maria’s biggest hits, “Super Inday”, the other Regal entry in the Metro filmfest. “I asked Ate Maria’s permission first before we started shooting and I’m glad she gave me the go signal,” she says. “I hope I’ll be able to do justice to the role ng hindi naman ako mapahiya sa kanya.”

The new “Super Inday” is megged by Mike Tuviera and promises to be more exciting than the past one since it makes use of the latest technology to come out with stunning computer generated images in the fantasy sequences. Marian plays a barrio girl who looks for her long lost mom (Cherry Pie Picache) in Manila and meets a magic duck (John Lapus as a fallen angel sent to earth to do good deeds) with golden eggs that give her special powers to make her a super crime buster. Since the film is also a comedy, Marian gets support from ABS clown Pokwang plus kid stars Buboy VIllar, Jairus Aquino and Sabrina Man. Also in the cast are Jake Cuenca, Mylene Dizon and Sheena Halili. “I’m so glad I get the chance to work with Kapamilya stars in this film,” says Marian. “I won’t get the chance to work with them if not for Mother Lily. This is a wholesome entertaining film for the whole family perfect for the holidays.”
