Karen Davila: No hurt feelings with Korina replacing her

KAREN DAVILA dismisses earlier reports that she’s sulking after being replaced by Korina Sanchez in “TV Patrol” and is moving to TV5 where her husband DJ Sta. Ana now works. In her SNN interview, she admits she feels sad with the loss since she’s been with TV Patrol for 6 years, but “I don’t have ill or bitter feelings at all and I mean it. Change is normal. It’s the only constant thing that happens into our lives.” What she later says is reminiscent of what Korina also said when Karen left GMA-7 and replaced her in the same newscast: “I’m a team player. I’m a good soldier.” This means she abides by the company’s decision and is willing to anchor the late night newscast, “Bandila”, with an ABS veteran, Ces Drilon. One wag says: “What she felt now, yun siguro ang naramdaman ni Korina before. Umikot lang ang mundo. Let’s face it, sa 6 years niya in ‘TV Patrol’, hindi nila napatumba ang ’24 Oras’ ni Mel Tiangco kaya di katakatakang ibalik ito kay Korina.”

Another pundit says Noli de Castro won’t help TV Patrol. “Di malilimutan ng tao na the whole time VP siya ni Gloria, he supported her kahit noong Garci and ZTE scandals where he never squawked.”
