STARSTRUCK V winner Steven Silva is happy to be part of “Koreana”, now aired on GMA-7’s Dramarama sa Hapon. “It’s my first regular teleserye and I know there’s a Korean wave here in Manila so it’s kinda cool to be in this show,” he says. “I’m a fan of Koreanovelas and also, Korean food, so ‘Koreana’ is exciting as it serves as a bridge between Filipino and Korean cultures.”
What can he say that he’s the winner but his runner up, Rocco Nacino, has more projects than him now? “No problem with me. First of all, I have a problem with my Tagalog so they can’t just give me any kind of role. Here in ‘Koreana’, I play a Korean and most of my lines will be in English. I’m trying my best naman to speak well in Tagalog. Also, I’m more into singing that’s why I enjoy being in ‘Party Pilipinas’. I also do hosting and I just did a hosting job sa isang beauty pageant in the province. Hopefully, when my Tagalog improves, baka dumami rin ang projects ko.”
How is it working Kris Bernal? “She’s sobrang mabait. Nag-meet na kami before when she guested in Starstruck then I guested sa ‘Last Prince’ nila ni Aljur. When I first talked in Tagalog, she laughed, sabi niya, ang cute ng accent ko, so that broke the ice and she even helped with my Tagalog lines.”
