ROCCO NACINO welcomes being paired with Kris Bernal in “Koreana” where he plays Benjo, Kris’ loyal best friend who sticks with her through thick and thin. In his first acting job after Starstruck V, he played Jennylyn Mercado’s husband in “Gumapang Ka sa Lusak”, then was paired with Lovi Poe in a “Love Bug” episode shot in Palawan that is yet to be shown, and is now with Rhian Ramos in “Kaya ng Powers”. He likes it this way than having a permanent ka-love team.
“I know being part of a love team helps boost one’s popularity but honestly, I’m enjoying being paired with different actresses more than having a permanent partner,” he says. “At least, hindi ako identified sa iisang kapareha lang. I also think that will help you become a more versatile performer. Maganda ang role ko sa ‘Koreana’ kasi may pagka-kanto boy, medyo brusko at tarantado ang dating, pero kailangan lovable pa rin. Kinakapa ko pa yung role but with the help of Direk Gil Tejada, I’m sure hindi naman ako magkakamali sa interpretation ko. I’m happy with ‘Koreana’ kasi after I get to work with my Starstruck colleague Enzo Pineda in ‘Kaya ng Powers’, heto’t makakasama ko naman ang isa pa namin ka-batch, si Steven Silva. Masaya kami na active kaming lahat ngayon.”
