ROBIN'S DAUGHTER KYLIE PADILLA HAS A REGULAR SHOW

Derrick Monasterio
IT WAS REPORTED then that Robin Padilla’s second daughter, Kylie Padilla, who signed up with GMA-7 while elder sister Queenie is with ABS, will star in “Koreana” since she looks Korean with her chinky eyes. Obviously, GMA thought it’s too early for her to carry her own show so “Koreana” went to Kris Bernal. Now, Kylie will be introduced in another afternoon series, “Dwarfina”, where she’ll play second lead to title-roler Heart Evangelista. At the storycon, it was announced that she’ll be paired with newcomer Derek Monasterio, son of former sexpot Tina Monasterio and an American Jamaican dad. Kylie is 17 and Derek is turning 16. We hope they’ll look good together on screen and fans will accept their love team. It’s obvious GMA saw the star potential of Derek in “Tween Hearts” (a toprater on Sunday) and this is the reason why he’s the first one among GMA’s new batch of Tween Stars who’s given a regular soap.
