FORMER BB. Pilipinas World Maggie Wilson is glad she’s included in “Beauty Queen” that might be considered her swan song before she marries businessman Victor Consunji in a beach wedding come December 18. At the presscon of GMA-7’s new soap that starts airing on Monday, Maggie revealed that she experienced sexual harassment when she was sent to China three years ago to represent our country in the Miss World pageant. “May Chinese judge na hinipuan ako sa butt ko so I slapped him,” she says. “I gave him a piece of my mind but he doesn’t understand English so nakatulala lang siya sa’kin. I called up Bb. Pilipinas Charities and told them I want to go home but Mrs. Stella Araneta told me to finish the pageant. I really felt bad as even the Miss World officials didn’t do anything about my complaint.”
Maggie is much sexier now when she became a beauty queen. “I was only 17 then at may baby fats pa ko. I’d like to think my body is much more toned now as can be seen in our scenes in ‘Beauty Queen’ na nakabikini kami. I’m now also more comfortable with my body. I’m so happy to be part of the show kasi puro mahuhusay ang kasama ko and it’s my first time to work with Direk Joel Lamangan who’s one of the best kaya excited ako. Thankful din ako sa BF ko as he’s very supportive sa career ko. I play Rebecca Rivas, sister ni Katrina Halili who’s Dorcas. Mother naming si Carmi Martin na talunang beauty queen. Ako’ng favourite niya and she’s pushing me to be a beauty queen. Hindi niya type si Katrina. Kaso, nabuntis ako before the pageant, so nalipat ang atensiyon niya kay Katrina who then she grooms to compete sa beauty pageant kunsaan sila ni Iza Calzado ang naging top competitors. Iza is the daughter of Elizabeth Oropesa na siya ring tumalo kay Carmi noong bata pa sila so deep seated ang hostility nila with one another.”
