Robin-Mariel Wedding Shenanigans Turn Off The Public

ROBIN PADILLA springs another surprise with his revelation that he and Mariel Rodriguez had actually tied the knot more than a month ago, August 19, during the Ramadan while they were in Agra, India, where the famous Taj Mahal is located, in Muslim rites called Nikah. He announced this in Tina Monzon Palma’s “The World Tonight” saying “ito po ang buong katotohanan at pawang katotohanan.” As for Mariel, she proclaims unabashedly: “Yes, Robin and I have been married for one month and I’m the happiest person in the world.” Read, Robin denies wedding with Mariel.

But from the looks of it, we don’t think the real life love affair between Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez will help attract viewers to the TV show they’ll do for ABS-CBN or the movie that they’re supposed to do together later (which Star Cinema already denied, saying they have no movie for Robin). As it is, the feedback about all these shenanigans regarding their alleged wedding or non-wedding is all negative. “Pinaglalaruan lang tayo ni Robin,” says one writer.

And another writer observes: “Nega ang dating ni Mariel sa tao lalo na nang magpa-interview on TV ang grandparents niyang nagpalaki sa kanya dahil maaga naghiwalay ang parents niya. She didn’t bother to inform them pala na pakakasal sila ni Robin. Add to that the fact that Toni Gonzaga has been denouncing her for betraying their friendship and Mariel becomes even more of a “Negastar”. As for Robin, the fact that her own kids, Queenie and Kylie, also declare that they’re not happy with their dad’s sudden marriage to Mariel contribute to the negativity of it all. Robin is past 40 but he acted like a lovestruck teenager who forgets all reason because of his inamorata.
