JC Tiuseco reveals his bets in current castaways

JC TIUSECO is glad to have the chance to work with Heart Evangelista in “Langit sa Piling Mo” as she’s his original crush in showbiz. “Kaya lang, hindi siya sa’kin mapupunta sa ending but with Mark Herras,” he says. “Pero okay lang yun at tanggap kong hindi naman ako ang leading man niya.”

We heard some “Survivor Philippines” contestants asked for his advice since he was its first winner. “Nagtanong lang sila how is it but then, iba naman yung conditions sa island nila kaysa sa island namin. Our island was much dirtier at maraming basura. I got to see their island as I guested in their show. I was brought to Thailand for a couple of days to bring the rewards to those who won in their challenges. Ervic Vijandre and Ian Batherson are friends of mine as we’re all managed by Mercator Agency of Jonas Gaffud, so I’m wishing them well sa pagsali nila sa ‘Survivor’.”

Who are his bets among the current castaways? “Si Ervic, then Akihiro Sato and Solenn Heussaff who are my co-models sa Penshoppe. Kasi puro sila tahimik kaya di sila pinag-iinitan ng ibang castaways who don’t consider them as threats, but the truth is they’re very patient and hardworking.”

Is it true he has reconciled with his non-showbiz lawyer girlfriend? “No, walang balikang nagaganap. We have no communication at all.” There’s a rumor he snubbed Dominic Roco who’s now being linked to his former squeeze, Maxene Magalona. “That’s not true. Hindi kami talaga nagkita at all.”

What’s his next assignment after “Langit sa Piling Mo”? “Wala pa, but I continue to host ‘X Life’ in Q Channel 11. After our exciting episode in Danao, Bohol, we’re now going overseas in Palau and Malaysia.” He just did his first movie, “Mamarazzi”. Did he know he’ll play a villain there? “Honestly, no. I thought I’d be Carla Abellana’s leading man. Yun pala, bad boy ako who’d shoot Diether Ocampo.”

GEOFF EIGENMANN admits he’s sad about his coming separation from Carla Abellana after they did four shows together: “Rosalinda”, “SRO”, “Last Prince” and “Basahang Ginto”. “This is normal since we’ve been so used to working with each other,” he says. “We know one day we’d work outside our love team and be paired with other stars but even if we’ve prepared ourselves for that, siempre, sad pa rin. We’re just praying it all turns out for the better at tanggapin pa rin kami ng viewers kahit iba na kapareha namin.”

He’ll be paired with Glaiza de Castro in “Grazilda” while Carla will be doing a new soap with Dennis Trillo after he finishes “Endless Love”. Will he be faithful to Carla even if they’d now seldom see each other? “Wala pa naman kaming formal relationship but I can assure her na mabait ako’t walang gagawing kalokohan. At saka magkikita pa rin naman kami in ‘Party Pilipinas’. I’d see to it we won’t lose communication.”

Does he plan to ask Carla to formalize their relationship in the near future? “I want to play it safe muna and not to rush it. Kasi I’ve been busted by other girls before so this time, I want my efforts to work as being turned down is not a nice feeling. You give your best effort tapos walang nangyari, so masakit din. And when I ask, gusto ko tuloy-tuloy nay un so it’s premature to ask her now as I know she’s also more concentrated in her efforts to make good in her career.”

AFTER LOSING “Sis”, some folks chided Gelli de Belen because GMA-7 gave her “Sis” co-hosts daily shows. She’s seen only every Saturday in “Jejemom” while her sister Janice is seen every night as Suzy in “Endless Love” while Carmina Villaroel is hosting the daily talk show “Love ni Mister” with Zoren Legaspi.

“Not anymore,” says Gellli. “Kasi daig ko na sila ngayon dahil dalawa na ang shows ko. Aside from ‘Jejemom’, I’m in the cast of the new drama, ‘Bantatay’, pinaghalong Bantay, the dog, and tatay. Si Raymart Santiago ang title role dito. He plays my husband who dies and his soul transfers to out pet dog, si Bantay, para mapagpatuloy niya ang pagbabantay sa amin ng aming tatlong anak.”

With them in the cast are Jennica Garcia, Carl Guevarra and Elmo Magalona. The show will replace “Langit sa Piling Mo”two weeks from now in the 6 PM slot before “24 Oras”.

WINNER OF the Mr. Pogi contest in “Eat Bulaga” in 2006, Edgar Allan Guzman went daring in the indie film “Astig” last year as a young father who agrees to have sex with a DOG (Dirty Old Gay played by Arman Reyes) just so he can have money to pay for his wife’s hospital bills. This time, he plays a very gay character in TV5’s mini-series, “Lady Dada”. “Lover ako rito ni Keempee de Leon, gay to gay kami, pero mas malanding bakla ako kaysa sa kanya,” he says.

It’s just fine with him to do a gay role as he has a Kuya who’s gay. “Pero hindi siya malanding bakla. He works in a call center. I’m not ashamed of him. Mahal na mahal ko nga yung kapatid kong yun. He’s 25 and I’m turning 21 naman on November 20.”
In the indie film “Magdamag” directed by Joven that will open on September 8 after its successful premiered in UP and the CCP, he plays a young drifter who goes to Boracay and has a torrid affair with a much older woman, Rita Avila. “It’s my most daring role so far kasi marami kaming love scenes.”

Unlike other actors who’s secretive with their lovelife, Edgar admits he’s been going steady with Sexbomb Jolan for two years now. “We met when I guested in ‘Daisy Siete’ and our relationship is going strong.”
