Gilbert Remulla helps people get jobs

GILBERT REMULLA firmly believes that the key to solving poverty is giving jobs to people. "Or help them set up their business," he sets. "Kaya nga we help a lot of would be enterpreneurs in my TV show, 'Kabuhayang Swak na Swak'. But I have to leave it for now kasi nga I'm officially running as senator."

He'll be 40 in September but has baby face looks that can be a drawback for him. "Iniisip na nga kung paano ko patatandain. Siguro it helps that I practice clean living, no late nightouts, and I exercise well kaya I look young. The truth is Adel Tamano is even younger than me by one month."

But he looks older, some writers quickly tell him. Will he agree to be a Belo endorser like Adel? "Yes, basta huwag lang akong paghuhubarin."

As a young broadcaster at ABS-CBN, he became close to Vina Morales and Pia Guanio but he's now happily married to Georgia Diaz Roa, niece of Miss Universe Gloria Diaz who he met while they're both studying in New York. "Tita Glo promised to help in my campaign, along with Georgia's cousins, Isabelle Daza and Georgina Wilson."

Glibert and Georgia have three lovely daughters who all go to Assumption. As a congressman, Gilbert outshone his older colleagues in congress by producing significant legislation against social ills. He assailed the Arroyo government during the 'Hello Garci' scandal, saying "the whole situations smells of coverup and conspiracy" in his privilege speech.
