PTV 4 news anchor, movie producer and film director Cesar Soriano launches this August 12, Monday, a new public affairs program, "Unlad Pilipinas", that will showcase the different agencies, projects and best practices nationwide that can help propel the country to progress and development. Soriano, a veteran broadcast journalist, has also produced and directed two full length films, "Last Interview: Mayor Antonio Halili Story" and "Misyon", about the siege of Marawil

He is a welcome addition to the News and Public Affairs department of the People’s Television (PTV) Network Channel 4. He signed up as anchor of "Ulat Bayan" and producer of the two new public affairs programs “Magandang Gabi Pilipinas” and “Isyu One-on-One”.

His latest show, "Unlad Pilipinas", is a one-hour daily public affairs show that will air Mondays to Fridays. It will delve comprehensively into projects and its impact on the masses, success stories, the partners, the community and its transformation. It will also increase public awareness and ensure access to public information to fully engage and empower the citizenry.

"'Unlad Pilipinas' is a news magazine public affairs program that showcases the best practices of different government agencies, public utilities, local government units, businesses and non-government organizations, institutions,  attained through the construction and improvement of infrastructure and public works such as roads, bridges, electrification in sitios, and the social, commercial, and overall developments, the projects and its impact to the masses, success stories, best practices, the partners, the community and its transformation that have eased the livelihood, transportation, and way of living of the Filipinos," says Soriano, the show's executive producer and host.

He also produces two other shows for PTV 4.  “Magandang Gabi Pilipinas” (MGP), which airs Saturdays, 5-6 pm, aims to provide more detailed and accurate information on programs and services of departments or agencies or organizations and human interest stories about the environment, current issues, and developments in the countryside.

“Isyu One-on-One”, on the other hand, airs Sundays, 5-6pm, a one-on-one straightforward truthful interview with guest personalities to bring out facts and get across to all audiences the answers and updates on relevant issues or concerns.

This September, PTV 4 will launch “Pambatong Pinoy”, a nationwide talent search which will focus on the search of Filipino talents in cooperation with the local government. A grand opportunity not only to showcase local talents but to represent the province and be a symbol of peace, unity, and stability.  All programs are produced by GreatCzar Media Productions.
