Mother Lily Monteverde Stresses Regal Has Only One Entry In The December Filmfest, 'Mano Po 7: Chinoy', Nothing Else

MOTHER LILY MONTEVERDE is very happy when she hosted dinner at Gloria Maris because Regal’s current release, “The Escort” starring Derek Ramsay, Lovi Poe and Christopher de Leon is a certified hit. “It’s extended in 80 theaters at hindi bumababa ang theater attendance,” she says.

It’s also the first box office hit of Director Enzo Williams, whose first movie, “Bonifacio: Unang Pangulo”, didn’t do well at the tills when shown as a Metro filmfest entry two years ago.

Mother Lily wants to make it clear that Regal only has one entry in the coming December festival. “Iisa lang ang ipinasok namin, ‘Mano Po 7: Chinoy’,” she says. “Hindi totoong pinasok namin yung ‘Our Mighty Yaya’. May two days pa siya. ‘Yung ‘Pwera Usog’, kauumpisa pa lang. Yung sinasabi nilang ‘Shake 16’ and ‘Pagpag 2’, I don’t know where they got that. Wala kaming ganung movies. Basta iisa entry namin, ‘Mano Po 7’, wala na kaming ibang ipinasok.”
