GLAIZA DE CASTRO OFFICIAL IS GLAIZA'S OWN YOUTUBE CHANNEL, SHE'S ALSO A GUEST IN 'USAPANG ARTISTA' ONLINE THIS SATURDAY

GLAIZA DE CASTRO, who’s based in Baler, now has her own youtube channel known as Glaiza De Castro Official. She said in the first video that she posted:

“I've been thinking of doing this for a long time now but the thought of speaking in front of the camera, as ironic as it may sound, sort of scares me. I thought it would be more interesting to show some  random videos for now, to give you an idea of who I really am.”

You can also watch the music video of her song  "Dusk 'Til Dawn." She said:

“Sharing the first ever music video from my album ‘Synthesis’, which I produced and collaborated with Victor Villanueva. Since I wanted this to be a narrative rather than a performance video, the story that we came up with is very personal to me. You will see three timelines here: present, past and future.”

Glaiza will also be part of GMA Artist Center Pride Month special on the online show ‘How Do You Feel?: Usapang Artista’ on Saturday. She’ll be guesting along with other stars who played LGBTQ characters on screen like Tom Rodriguez, Glaiza de Castro, Rhian Ramos, Divine Tetay and actor-director Ricky Davao who have played gay characters on screen several times.

Hosted by Chynna Ortaleza, the guest stars will share the preparation they made for their respective roles. Glaiza says she researched about lesbians for her role as Althea in the 2015 series ‘The Rich Man's Daughter.’

“I interviewed real gays to ask about kunsaan ba sila nanggagaling? Paano ba nila na-identify o nayakap 'yung sarili nila? Una, siyempre, bilang mga aktor, ine-emulate muna natin 'yung mga nakikita natin sa mga movies or sa series so during that time, umeere 'yung 'Orange Is The New Black.'

"Then they said kung kakayanin ko raw panoorin 'yung award-winning movie about lesbian love, 'Blue Is The Warmest Color,' panoorin ko raw. And I did.”

Rhian Ramos, in turn, revealed she wasn’t ready for her lesbian role as Jade.

"I really learned the entire approach and the attack that I wanted to take only on the set, with everyone helping me and guiding me,” she shares.

“I didn't have any kind of preparation for it. I felt I wasn’t ready but those feelings somehow helped my character because of all of the confusion and the insecurity she was going through, nakadagdag siya doon sa nararamdaman ni Jade na so many changes were happening to her emotionally. She didn't know kasi that she’s a lesbian until she met Althea."

You can watch “Usapang Artista” about “Beyond Gender” this Saturday, June 20, 8pm at the GMA Artist Center YouTube channel and GMA Network Facebook page.
