AUBREY MILES just gave birth to her and Troy Montero’s daughter, who they called Rockett, but she came to the presscon of her movie, “Santigwar”, looking so slim and sexy like she didn’t give birth at all. And to think her eldest son, Maury, is now 18 while her second son, Hunter, is now 11.
“E kasi, kahit noong buntis ako, nage-exercise naman ako,” she says. “Tapos, nag-breastfeed pa ako, so mabilis makapayat yun. And now, back to exercise na uli ako.”
In “Santigwar”, she plays the role of newcomer Pam Gonzales’s mother who turns out to be an aswang. Didn’t she have second thoughts about playing a mother role? “No, in real life, malaki na rin naman yung panganay ko. At nag-enjoy naman ako sa role ko as the aswang kasi kinain ko silang lahat! Ha ha ha!”
Troy’s brother, KC Montero, recently got married to beauty queen Stephanie Dods in the U.S. very recently. Were they invited? “No. It’s a very simple affair. Saka ang layo, e. But we really wish them well.”
How about her and Troy? Don’t they have plans of eventually tying the knot since they’ve been living together for 16 years now? “We’ve talked about it. If ever, I want something unusual, like getting married in the ruins of Machu Pichu in Peru. Para memorable talaga.
"But as of now, okay naman kami, happy sa isa’t isa. We’ve never had a really big fight. Pinag-uusapan lang namin pag may problem. But we agreed na kapag may nag-cheat sa amin, wala nang usap-usap, hiwalayan na agad.”
So what’s Troy doing now? “He still acts, appearing mostly on TV, doing guest roles. Hindi puede yung mahaba kasi he has a regular office job sa company handling events. Ako naman, I’m also busy with my pawn shops, one in Cubao and one in Makati Cinema Square. But when there’s a good role like here in ‘Santigwar’ na ngayon lang ako gumanap na aswang, open naman ako.”
