Marco Gumabao Breaks Nadine Lustre's Heart In 'Ulan', Hopes 2019 Will Be His Breakout Year

MARCO GUMABAO joined showbiz in 2012 in the ABS-CBN show, “Luv U”, but it’s only when he joined Viva Entertainment last year that his career got a big boost when he did several films playing lead roles: “Para sa Broken Hearted”, “Abay Babes” and the hit Metro filmfest entry “Aurora” where he was paired with Anne Curtis.

Now, the year just started but he’s in a new movie, “Ulan”, as one of Nadine Lustre’s leading men. He’s also in the TV movie “Apple of My Eye” and in the TV soap, “Los Bastardos”. On top of that, he’s shooting another movie where he is paired anew with Anne Curtis, “Just a Stranger”, along with Edu Manzano, directed by Jason Laxamana.

“I really can’t complain,” he says. “2018 ended well for me and now, ang ganda rin ng pasok ng 2019. Sana magtuloy-tuloy uli until the end of the year.”

Doesn’t he mind playing support to Nadine and Carlo Aquino in “Ulan” that opens in theaters this Wednesday, March 13?

“Not at all. This is one of the first films I’ve did when I moved to Viva, and it’s not a big deal if I just play Nadine’s past boyfriend, Andrew, who broke her heart. It’s a privilege for me to work with Nadine and Carlo and our director, Irene Villamor. Nag-enjoy talaga ako and the more important is nagampanan ko naman nang maayos ang role ko.”
