Mader Ricky Reyes Celebrates 15th Anniversary Of Childhaus, A Shelter For Children With Cancer He Put Up To Help In Healing Them

MADER RICKY REYES celebrated the 15th anniversary of Child Haus last Sunday with a Holy Mass for thanksgiving. Child Haus is a shelter at F. Agoncillo St., Paco, Manila for indigent patients with cancer, especially for those who live in the provinces but are seeking medical treatment in Manila who do not have a place where they can stay here in the city. Childhaus gives free accommodations plus meals to these patients and their parents or relatives who serve as caretakers.

“Since we started 15 years ago, we’ve served more than 16,000 patients,” says Mader Ricky. “Ang mortality namin is only 800. Mas maraming gumagaling, kasi pagdating nila rito mula sa probinsiya, they get good nutrition plus we get to provide yung medicines na kailangan nila. Free transportation pa taking them to and from the hospitals kung saan sila kumokonsulta’t nagpapagamot, courtesy ng spouses ng mayors led by Tates Gana.”


Mader Ricky also give gifts and loot bags to all the patients and their parents, then he gave Taos Puso Awards to all those who’ve been helping Child Haus for the past several years, including Hans and Carol Sy. Among the recipients are Karylle who really spends time with the child patients, Tates Gana of QC who has donated so much to Child Haus, Jeanette Cu who gives Pediasure and many other kind hearted souls who share their time, effort and hard earned cash to make sure that Childhaus continues with its charitable operations.
