Myrtle Sarrosa Renews Contract With Megasoft As Brand Ambassadress For Sisters Feminine Napkins, Stars In The Comedy-Action Flick, 'Wander Bra'

MYRTLE SARROSA has just renewed her contract with Sisters Feminine Napkins and Pantyliners for the third time. Since she became it’s ambassadress, she has visited 50 schools all over the country with Megasoft exec Aileen Choi-Go not only to promote the product but also to spread their advocacy for young people to realize the importance of having a good education.

“She’s really the perfect role model for the youth because she prioritized her education,” says Ms. Go. “When we first got her, estudyante pa lang siya sa UP. Last year, she graduated with honors, cum laude, at never niyang pinabayaan ang pag-aaral niya kahit nasa showbiz na siya. Our company started visiting schools in 2006 to give Sisters samples but it’s only in 2016 when we got a brand ambassadress like Myrtle and the response is so positive. Nag-trending kami sa social media and, dati, we only go to high schools, but now, we’re also getting requests from state colleges and universities to visit them. In other words, may awareness na about our campaign for young people to value education.”

Myrtle says she won’t forget the reaction of young people in remote communities who see her. “Kasi first time daw nilang mabisita ng artista at umiiyak pa sila. In our talk, we include the boys kasi some of them bully the young girls kapag nakita nilang may monthly period. We remind the girls not to give away their womanhood to their boyfriends as it might lead to unwanted pregnancy.”

Her showbiz career also prospers. She’s now doing three movies no less. One is “Wander Bra” for Blue Rocks Productions, where she plays a superhero. Then she’s doing a new movie for Regal and another one for Imus Productions with Luigi Revilla. She’s also in the teleserye “Bachelorette” with Cignal TV with Edgar Allan Guzman and, in music, she continues to compose her own songs. She also wrote the song “Haplos” for Maja Salvador.

Because she’s so busy, she has no time for her love life. “Wala talaga, e. Zero. Pero okay lang, hindi ko naman hinahanap kasi happy ako sa career ko.”

So she has not had a new BF since she and Brian Llamanzares, the son of Sen. Grace Poe, broke up? “I dated non-showbiz guys pero walang natutuloy, e. Importante sa’kin na you get the right guy na comfortable ka. I think it’s not the right time for me rin to have a love life, considering how busy I am now.”

Is she looking for someone like Brian? “No. Actually, grateful nga ako kasi na-realized kong hindi talaga kami para sa isa’t isa. Dati, may feeling pa ako ng bitterness but when I look back now, it’s all for the best. Hindi pa kami ready, e. Now, my priority is to find someone who can help me grow as a person.”

Watch for Myrtle and Megasoft School is Cool Tour on June 13, Wednesday, at Atimonan Comprehensive High School at 9AM and the Gumaca High School at 2 PM. On July 19, they’ll be in Sto. Tomas, La Union for the 2nd Sanglao Festival and on July 21, at Waltermart Tarlac.
