Richard Gutierrez Thankful For His Successful Comeback In 'La Luna Sangre' That Is Now About To End After Ten Months On The Air

RICHARD GUTIERREZ will always remember “La Luna Sangre” as the show that successfully revived his career after he decided to rest for a while when his son Zion was born. His role as Gilbert Imperial aka Supremo aka the vampire king Sandrino has no doubt rekindled his popularity and this was proven by the very warm public reception given to him when he joined the last Bench fashion show at MOA and the ABS-CBN Christmas presentation at the Big Dome last December.

Now, as the series ends in The Apocalypse final chapter of the show, Richard learns of his brother Daniel Padilla as Tristan’s plans and is determined to gain advantage over Tristan so he can possess the two cursed links that will make him very powerful. What he doesn’t know is that Daniel and Kathryn Bernardo as Malia are now friends once more and both are working against him. This will lead to the apocalyptic battle to the finish between Supremo’s forces and that of Malia and Tristan, which is really something to look forward to.

“We’ll be ending next week and the last few episodes are really action-packed and full of surprising twists kaya abanga nyo,” says Richard at the show’s Thanksgiving and final presscon. “I took a risk when I accepted to play the contravida role here and it paid off. It expanded my horizons as an actor as I also got to work with a new network, new people, new co-stars. I will forever be grateful that the audience embraced our show from beginning to its coming end after ten months on the air. I will surely miss my character as Sandrino and all my co-workers, lalo ngayong patapos na ang show and we’re taping everyday to make sure we’ll come up with a truly grand and memorable finale.”

So what will he do next? “I’ll do something very important, which is take a well deserved rest.Tamang-tama naman, si Sarah (Lahbati, his partner) is due to give birth next month kaya saktong-sakto na I can devote my full time for her delivery dahil wala na akong taping. Then after I’ve rested, I’m supposed to start shooting the new movie I have with Star Cinema with Angel Locsin. I really have so much to be grateful for.”
