Maja Salvador Feels Separation Anxiety As 'Wildflower' Ends On February 9, Says The Last Few Episodes Will Be Full Of Wild Surprises

MAJA SALVADOR looks radiant at the farewell presscon of her very successful soap, “Wildflower”, which will celebrate its first anniversary on the air this week the end its telecast next week. One of the darkest, bloodiest dramas about revenge ever, viewers praised Maja for playing her roles as Ivy Aguas and Lily Cruz very convincingly.

“Malaki ang naitulong ng show na ito sa career ko,” she says. “Sobrang minahal ng tao ang ‘Wildflower’ and I enjoy reading the comments on social media kasi may mga nagsasabing role models nila sina Ivy at Lily bilang mga babaeng palaban at hindi paaapi. Alter ego raw nila ang characters ko.”

She admits playing Ivy and Lily is no easy task. “Hindi lang emotionally challenging ang role but also physically challenging, lalo na ngayong patapos na andami ng action scenes na pinagagawa sa’kin. After patalunin ako sa paghabol sa isang helicopter, next naman daw, spaceship na ang hahabulin ko. Joke! Yung mga away namin ni Aiko Melendez, grabe, nagkakasakitan kami talaga.”

So what can we expect from “Wildflower” now that it’s about to end next week? “Aba, basta kapit lang kayo dahil marami pa kaming pasabog na inihahanda sa show to make sure the last few episodes will be really wild and memorable for the viewers. But this early, nagkakaroon na ako ng separation anxiety kasi I will miss everyone na kasama ko sa show, from my co-stars and our directors Dick Lindayag, Cathy Camarillo and Raymond Ocampo kasi naging isang pamilya kaming lahat talaga rito.”

What does she think are her most unforgettable highlights in the show? “As Ivy Aguas, I think it’s the wedding scene na itim ang gown ko kasi first time that the bride wore black. As Lily, it’s the scene naman that I wore a gold gown and declared: ‘I’m indestructible’.”

This week’s episodes will be very exciting after the Ardientes, led by Tirso Cruz III, Aiko Melendez and Zsa Zsa Padilla, humiliated Maja in public and blamed her for the death of Arnaldo. She was compelled to parade around their town with a sign that she’s a murderer while Aiko as Emilia Ardiente is lashing her back with a bullwhip. But the townspeople discover a mass grave where the Ardientes have dumped the remains of the townsmen they have killed and this causes a massive public uproar. Will this turn the table for Maja as Lily in her quest for justice against the abusive and merciless Ardientes? Don’t miss the final episodes to get the answer.
About her lovelife, there’s a story she’s now playing beautiful music with a young businessman who comes from a wealthy family but his relatives are against her for him. “Nakakaloka naman yan. It’s not true dahil yung family niya, sobrang love ako. Pero hindi pa talaga kami, wala pang concrete label ang relationship namin as of now. Dating stage pa lang.”
