The Real Score On The Story That Kris Aquino Is Leaving ABS-CBN To Be With The Kapuso Network

IS KRIS AQUINO moving back to GMA-7? This rumor floated after she was seen meeting with Mr. Tony Tuviera of APT Entertainment and his son, Director Michael Tuviera. The grapevine says that Kris might be in the new morning show that will be the pre-program of “Eat Bulaga”, now occupied by “Calle Siete” which is not rating well so it will soon be axed. There’s also talk that Kris wants to be included in the new movie to be produced by APT Entertainment intended as a Metro-Manila Filmfest entry, starring Vic Sotto with the love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.

This prompted one writer to declare: “Naku, Ai Ai de las Alas will surely not be happy. Lumipat na nga siya sa GMA and APT, ngayon naman, heto si Kris at susundan siya roon.”

When Kris herself was asked about this, she opted to be silent and mysterious and just said:

“Surprise.” But someone in the know tells us that Ai Ai has nothing to worry about as Kris personally still prefers to be with ABS-CBN and she’s just scouting around. She has met with ABS-CBN execs and she didn’t like it when her talent fee was slashed (we’re told ABS-CBN has really been economizing and is actually slashing the fees of a lot of their talents). Not only that, Kris wants her contract to be for 5 years but ABS wants it to be only 2 years.

Will floating the news that she’s meeting with GMA people get her what she wants from ABS? “Siguro kung kumita yung two movies niyang ‘Etiquette for Mistresses’ and ‘All You Need is Pag-ibig’ at kung nagre-rate pa ang TV shows niya at presidente pa ang brother niya, she can get what she wants,” says our source. “But at this stage of her career, what do you think?”
