Daniel Padilla Had A Grand Time With Kathryn Bernardo In Spain Shooting 'Barcelona: A Love Untold'

DANIEL PADILLA and Kathryn Bernardo had a grand time shooting their new movie on location in Barcelona, Spain. Their new flick is titled “Barcelona: A Love Untold” and it will open in theaters on September 14. It will show the scenic spots of that beautiful city, including the famous Sagrada Familia Basilica.

“The whole experience is very memorable,” says Daniel. “Parang bitin nga kasi one day lang kami nabigyan ng off para mag-tour. Most of the time, we were shooting.”

So did shooting together in a foreign place bring them closer to each other? “Siempre naman. Bawat araw ng pagsasama namin doon brought us closer sa isa’t isa. Every single day is unforgettable. Dahil limited lang ang crew, kami mismo, tumutulong din sa production kaya kakaiba talaga ang naging bonding namin doon.”

How is it working with Direk Olivia Lamasan, who did such past hits as “Sana Maulit Muli” (shot in the USA) and “Milan” (shot in Italy)? “It’s a great experience working with her. Magaling talaga siya at tinulungan niya kami hindi lang maging mabuting aktor, kundi maging mabuting tao. We learned so much from her. Tiwala kami talaga sa kanya and I can say na very proud kami sa aming movie na ‘Barcelona, A Love Untold’. This is our most mature portrayals so far and we’re sure magugustuhan talaga ito ng lahat ng manonood nito.”

Kathryn plays Mia, a young woman who goes to Spain trying to run away from her problems and attempts committing suicide but is saved by Daniel as Ely who tells her: "Kaunting hirap lang, susuko ka na agad? Masabihan lang ng kaunti, aalis. Kapag pumalpak, tatakas! Alam mo, Mia, Hindi ka talaga puwede sa ibang bansa eh! Ang hina mo!" Eventually Ely helps Mia to rise again from her failures, move on, and they eventually develop feelings for each other.
