Worldwide Hit Koreanovela 'Descendants Of The Sun' To Be Shown On GMA Telebabad Starting Monday, July 25

INSTEAD OF a local soap, GMA-7 is replacing “Once Again” of Janine Gutierrez with a hit Koreanovela, “Descendants of the Sun”, starting tomorrow, July 25. This will be shown in between “Encantadia” and “Juan Happy Love Story” and has Korean stars Song Joong Ki as Shi Jin, a soldier with the Special Forces group, and Song Hye Kyo as Dr. Kang Mo Yeon, a heart surgeon, the leading characters. The show is a hit in 27 countries (especially in China) and has been translated into 32 languages.

The main protagonists meet in the hospital where Dr. Kang works and they start dating. But they soon realize that they are so different from each other because the mission of Shi Jin as a soldier is to kill while that of Dr. Kang is to save lives. So they say goodbye to each other without knowing that fate has something else in store for both of them when they meet again while they’re on a safekeeping mission in the fictional country called Uruk. For the Tagalog version, Shi Jin is renamed Lucas Yoo while Dr. Kang is renamed Dr. Maxine. Don’t miss this beautiful Korean production that is bound to be as successful as past hits like “Jewel in the Palace” and “Jumong”.

Also, don’t miss the mall show of the cast of GMA's hit afternoon drama, “Sa Piling Ni Nanay”, this afternoon at 5 PM at SM City San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan. Cast members who will entertain the audience include Yasmien Kurdi who plays Isabel, Mark Herras as Jonas and Antonio Aquitania as Rod.
