Ruffa Gutierrez Denounces Malicious Ads Saying She Has Left Cosmo Skin, Believes Her Mom Annabelle Rama Has Accepted New BF Jordan Mouyal

RUFFA GUTIERREZ was shocked when a new cosmetics brand used her for fraudulent and misleading online ads that malign the company that she’s actually endorsing, Cosmo Skin. “Sanay na ako sa intriga at di ko na sana papansinin, but then about ten friends na asked me kung totoo bang iniwan ko na ang Cosmo Skin,” she says in a special presscon called for her by Cosmo execs Nino Bautista and Red Gatus. “Tapos, may bashers calling me ingrata kasi wala raw akong utang na loob sa Cosmo, so I now have to clarify na it’s not true kasi baka maniwala ang iba pang mga tao. Three years na ako in endorsing Cosmo Collagen that prevents wrinkles and Cosmo Glutathione for skin whitening and I’m very happy with them. I just renewed my contract with Cosmo in March. I’m a loyal user of their products whose results on me I really love. Hindi lang ako ang naging biktima ng kanilang malicious ads but even other stars.”

Nino Bautista says they’ve already a consulted lawyer about the erroneous and malicious ads against Cosmo. “We will definitely file a case against those who did it,” he adds. “And we will ask for damages as it’s so unfair na sirain ang aming magandang reputation when we just won the Marketing Excellence prize at the recent Watsons HWB Awards. We hope the new government can do something about these fake accounts on social media na ginagamit ang mga artista.”

So what’s in store for Ruffa after her appearance in TV5’s “Bakit Manipis ang Ulap”? “Well, we now have season 4 of ‘It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez’. Everywhere we go kasi ng family ko in Asia, people tell us they watch our show. I was just in Hongkong when some people asked my picture to be taken with them. It turned out they’re Irish and they watch ‘It Takes Gutz’, so E Channel asked us to renew it for another season. Abangan nyo rin kasi I will soon have my own book with ABS-CBN Publishing.”

Will it surpass the huge success of her own mom Annabelle Rama’s book, “Day Hard”, that’s now on its second printing? “Naku, best seller talaga ang book ni Mommy. Actually, my own book was planned first pero hindi ko natutukan, kaya naunang matapos yung kay mommy. Naku, tuwing pupunta ko sa book store, laging wala nang kopya. What’s funny is that she’s referring to someone she calls Bobita in her book, without me knowing ako pala yun. Nalaman ko lang when friends asked me, Ruffa, ikaw ba ito? Nandun lahat ng paghihigpit na ginawa niya sa’kin when I was young and I now realize it’s for my own good so I’m thankful for that.”

What life lessons would she want to impart to her own daughters, Lorraine and Venice? “Be respectful of your elders. Huwag manapak ng ibang tao and be as hardworking as their own mom.”

What if they want to be a beauty queen like her? “At 11 and 12, they’re both so tall and if they would like to follow in my footsteps, they should train well. But as of now, mas gusto nila kumuha ng dance lessons sa G Force. Kids these days can be wild, but I’m glad the friends of my daughters are nerds na ang hilig lang is mag-aral.”

Has her BF Jordan Mouyal already been accepted by her mom? He was conspicuously absent from past seasons of “It Takes Gutz”, will he now be in season 4? “I think accepted na rin naman siya ni Mommy. As to whether he’ll be in season 4, abangan nyo na lang.”

Her mom is close to new Pres. Duterte. We just talked to her parents and Annabelle says she has no plans of being in Duterte’s cabinet. Her dad, Eddie Gutierrez, adds: “Actually, si Ruffa ang mas bagay na mapasama sa bagong gobierno. She’s very articulate so she can be a good spokesperson.”

What does she think about it? “Ha ha ha! That’s a playtime question, so I’ll give a playtime answer. What I want to be is be an ambassador. To a country in Europe or in some exotic islands with beautiful beaches where I can retire.”
