Director Lino Cayetano Realizes He Loves Directing More Than Being In Politics

DIRECTOR LINO CAYETANO temporarily turned his back on showbiz when he was elected congressman in Taguig. But this time, he didn’t seek re-election and went back to directing on TV. His comeback show is “My Super D”, which he is co-directing with Frasco Mortiz.

“I realized I love directing and showbiz more,” says Direk Lino who’s husband to Ateneo volleyball belle Fille Cainglet and now a father to a little boy, Ino Philip, who’d be two years old on May 13. “I’m enjoying directing ‘Super D’ kasi first time na may superhero na hindi mo aakalaing superhero pala. Dominic Ochoa is very good as Dodong, normal na taong naging superhero. He’s good kahit drama o comedy ang ipagawa mo sa kanya.”

Now that he is a dad himself, “My Super D” is right up his alley as its core story is about the loving relationship of a father (Dominic) and his son (Marco Masa). The show is now airing before “TV Patrol” and also stars Bianca Manalo, Marvin Agustin, Ronaldo Valdez, Sylvia Sanchez, Jason Francisco, Jayson Gainza, Atoy Co, Myrtle Sarosa, Bong Regala, Jef Gaitan and Marina Benipayo.
