Lovi Poe Stages A Sexy Valentine Concert, 'Fantaesie', With Solenn Heussaff At Music Museum On Saturday, February 6

LOVI POE stages a sexy valentine show with Solenn Heussaff at Music Museum, “Fantaesie”, to be held at Music Museum on Saturday, February 6. How sexy is it going to be? “The set is French boudoir or bedroom, so we will be wearing lots of flimsy sexy lingerie made for us by various designers,” she says. “We ourselves chose our repertoire and we will be singing songs that reflect kung anong mga pinagdaanan namin and have a special meaning for us. We will show our own fantasies, dreams and the different stages of love from the happy romantic stage, then reality hits you and you get disillusioned, then you move on.”

Looks like it mirrors what she has gone through with Rocco Nacino. “Ganun ba?” she laughs.

So how is she now? “All I can say is that I’m single and happy. I’m more focused now on myself and my career. Our guests pala in ‘Fantaesie’ are Kuya Ogie Alcasid, JC De Vera and Rodjun Cruz. We’ll have big production numbers, both solo and duets.”

So what’s next for her at GMA after “Beautiful Strangers”? “Wala pa, pinagmimitingan pa. Rest muna ako sa soap. Meantime, I’m finishing a new movie, ‘Lakambini’, where I play the title role of Gregoria de Jesus. Mahirap siyang gawin kasi its a period movie at out of town lagi ang shoot using old houses. Mahirap din yung lines of dialogue. Dati, ang bilis kong mag-memorize ng lines ko but this time, maraming malalalim na Tagalog words and you cannot change them or adlib. I also had to train sa horseback riding and it’s not easy pala. Nagkasugat yung paa ko after a while. But now I’m more used to it.”

Since Rocco Nacino plays Andres Bonifacio, don’t they find it awkward working with each other now that they’re no longer in a relationship? “No, we’re okay naman. We’re professionals and we have a good working relationship.”

She won’t reveal any details about how their love affair ended. “Basta.”

“Lakambini” has two directors, Jeffrey Jeturian and Ellen Marfil. How is it working with them? “They’re both very nice and very patient. They work well together. Since ‘Heneral Luna’ did well at the box office, we’re hoping people will also be interested in this historical drama about Gregoria de Jesus and her love stories with Andres Bonifacio and, later on, with Julio Nakpil who is played by Paulo Avelino. She lived up to 1943 during the Second World War and I hope I’ll be giving justice to her on screen.Four shooting days na lang kami at matatapos na.”
