Fearless Forecast As To Who Will Be The Winners In The Oscar Awards Sunday Night In The U.S./Monday Morning In Manila

THE OSCAR AWARDS night is being held in the U.S. Sunday night but Monday morning in the Philippines. Our guest is that it will be a big win for “The Revenant”, who’d bag the best picture, best director award for Argentinian director Alejandro Innaritu and the long overdue best actor award for Leonardo DiCaprio. Wouldn’t it be nice if Leo would win and Kate Winslet would also win as best supporting actress for “Steve Jobs”?

They were together in “Titanic” which got so many nominations, including best actress for Kate, but snobbed Leo who didn’t even get nominated at all. Kate is just so good as Michael Fassbender’s assistant in “Steve Jobs” that you will almost not recognize her, until you look closely and say, hey, yes, it’s her!

For best actress, no doubt it will go to Brie Larson as the abduction victim who became a mom while held captive by a pervert in “Room”. The best supporting actor will, for sentimental reasons, go to Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, the coach of a rookie boxer in “Creed”, which is a role for which he was nominated as best actor before in 1976 (he was 30 then) but didn’t win. Imagine, after 40 years, he finally gets an Oscar award for acting when he reprises his Rocky role.
