Dennis Trillo Pleased To Work For The First Time With Kim Chiu & Director Eric Quizon In Regal's Metro Filmfest Entry, 'One Great Love'

DENNIS TRILLO is glad to be given the chance to work for the first time with Kim Chiu in Regal Entertainment’s Metro-Manila Filmfest entry, “One Great Love”, with Eric Quizon as their director. “It’s nice to work with people from the other network, for a change,” he says. “At least, ibang tambalan naman ang mapapanood ng viewers dito. I had a great time working with Kim, who’s a sensitive actress. When I was told siya ang makakasama ko rito, I accepted the project right away. Working with Direk Eric is also such a good experience as he gives his actors the chance to collaborate with him on how they can do a scene well.”

In the story penned by Gina Marissa Tagasa, he plays Ian, Kim’s male best friend. “Kim plays Zyra,” adds Dennis. “Magkabarkada kami rito. Ang love niya talaga rito is JC De Vera as Carl, who keeps on unintentionally hurting her because of his turbulent past. Eventually, I will also fall in love wiht Kim, making this a love triangle.”



Does he believe in such a thing as “One Great Love”? “Yes, I believe in it. But love is such a big word, so kailangan mong i-categorize kasi iba-ibang level siya. May love for God, love for your family, love for your sweetheart. About the latter, you would know if it’s your great love na nga kasi you will feel it, and when you do, wala nang atrasan yan.”

So, has he found his “One Great Love”? “Yes, gusto kong isiping nahanap ko na siya kasi happy naman ako sa kanya ngayon.”

He is, of course, referring to his current object of affection, Jennylyn Mercado. “One Great Love” opens in theaters on Christmas Day. “After watching our movie, viewers will have a clearer idea of what a great love truly is,” adds Dennis.
