He is a former seminarian who stayed with San Carlos Seminary for 8 years. After he came out of the seminary, he continued to teach philosophy and theology. “For me, faith is still very important and I continue to give retreats,” he says. “36 years old na ako and I want to leave a legacy imparting positive Christian values. Second lang itong career ko sa showbiz."

He made Lenten specials last year that rated well. "Noong Holy Week, I produced some Lenten specials and they all rated higher than sa kabilang station. So this coming Holy Week, I intend to produce more Lenten dramas to be directed by different directors. Tapos, I will also have Holy Week reflections about the importance of the Lenten season and the sacrifices Jesus made for us. They will be shown po sa umaga, sa hapon at sa gabi."
He now has his own production company. "I have put up my own company, Michael Angelo Productions, and we’re now also producing inspirational movies. The first one stars yung mga kasama ko sa sitcom ko, like Derrick Monasterio, Betong Sumaya, John Feir, Maey Bautista, Kurt Kendrick at iba pa.”

He also makes organic vinegar called Simply Suka. Later on, he wants to turn his sitcom into a musical variety show and game show that will be going to various places on location. He says he wants it to be a combination of both “Eat Bulaga” and “Wowowin”.
