After his intense drama scenes in his soap, Jericho says doing a light and breezy romantic comedy like “The Girl in the Orange Dress” is a welcome breather. “Masaya yung movie and it all happened inside a hotel. I play a top movie actor and the nosey press is very much interested in my love life so they are hell bent on finding out who is the girl in the orange dress that I spend the night with. Para kaming nakikipag-hide and seek ni Jessy sa kanila as they try their best to track us down at nagtatago naman kami sa kanila.”
How is it doing love scenes with Jessy? “Okay naman. We made sure that we’re comfortable with each other para hindi mukhang awkward ang dating on screen. Wholesome yung movie namin so hindi naman malaswa ang love scene namin or distateful. PG nga ang rating namin, meaning, puede ipapanood pati sa mga bata. Masaya ang pelikula, may dance number pa kami ni Jessy. We did a tango and very entertaining ang dating.”
One thing about Jericho is that he is so devoted to his family. When his younger brother, Jeremiah (who also tried showbiz years ago but his career didn’t prosper), had a big conflict with his wife, Jericho did his best to help his brother. Jeremiah’s partner went to Raffy Tulfo to complain that she wants to leave him as he is jobless and their child is hungry. Jeremiah cried on radio asking her why she has to resort to consulting Raffy Tulfo when it’s a family matter that they can settle by themselves. Jericho intervened and did his best to settle the couple’s issues. We’re not surprised that blessings continue to rain on Jericho and his career since he is very caring and generous to his loved ones.
