“I see so many contestants with great potential sa mga nag-qualify sa ‘The Clash’,” she says. “Sobrang maraming magagaling, which is not surprising kasi this is the Philippines, famous for good singers. We started the auditions in February at nagpunta kami sa key cities ng bansa in our search for the best. Magsisimula sila ng grupo-grupo until umabot sa one on one at puede kang pumili ng kung sino ang gusto mong makalaban. This will be very exciting not only for the viewers but for all of us involved in the show.”
Joining her in “The Clash” are Ai Ai de las Alas, Lani Misalucha, Christian Bautista as judges-mentors, along with Andre Paras and Joyce Pring. Lani, last seen on ABS-CBN, is thrilled to be back with GMA-7.“This is where I started on TV as a host and singer in the Sunday noontime show, ‘S.O.P.’, kaya parang comeback ko ito sa Kapuso Network,” she says. “I accepted it right away when I learned that I will get to work with my good friend Regine and also with Ai Ai and Christian.”
“The Clash” is directed by Louie Ignacio. The contestants are called clashers. There will be 14 clashers from Metro Manila, 6 from Northern Luzon, 12 from Central Luzon, 7 from Southern Luzon, 9 from Visayas and 10 from Mindanao, plus 4 more international clashers from different countries.
