“Salamat naman kasi this is really one of my most difficult assignments so far,” he says. “Maraming action sequences kaya nakakapagod siyang gawin, sa totoo lang. Binibigyan naman nila ako ng stunt double but I enjoy naman what I doing, kahit mahirap, so okay lang. At least, viewers will be assured na hindi ko sila dinadaya sa action scenes ko. Actually, ang tagal kong naghintay ng ganitong role at ngayong lang naibigay sa akin. Sabi ko nga, bring it on, more action scenes kasi I’m enjoying doing them.”
Even his girlfriend, Carla Abellana, sometimes gets worried when she sees him on screen doing his dangerous scenes. “But I assure her na before I do anything, it’s all well rehearsed and we make sure everything will be safe, so she doesn’t have to worry at all.”
So how is he and Carla? “We’re sobrang okay, sa lahat. In her, I met the right person. Hindi na magbabago yun kasi I’ve never met a partner who’s so perfect. Sabi ko nga, when you look for the word perfect in the dictionary, I’m sure, mukha niya ang nakalagay roon.”So are they settling down soon? “We’re preparing for it, but nothing is definite. Mauna muna ang leading lady ko sa ‘The Cure’ na si Jennylyn Mercado at ang partner niya, si Dennis Trillo, kasi mas matagal naman na sila kaysa sa amin.”
