She’s also in the longest running TV drama today, “Ang Probinsyano”. “Three years na kami sa September and everywhere I go, people call me by the name of my character, Lola Flora. I don’t know anymore kung hanggang kailan ang airing namin kasi laging nae-extend at paiba-iba ang plot. So sige lang sa taping hanggang sinasabi nila.”
Doesn’t she think of retiring? “No. Di ako puedeng walang ginagawa at nasa bahay lang. Lalo lang ako lalaki as I will gain more weight. Kasi, lahat nagbago sa akin, except for my taste buds. Masarap pa rin akong kumain. At saka ang taping ko naman, every other day lang at may cut off akong 12 midnight. The show now has four directors, so inuuna nilang kunan ang scenes ko with the child stars who are allowed to work for only two hours per taping day.”
No doubt awareness of RiteMed was greatly aided by Susan’s endorsements and made it the top unbranded line of medicines in the country. Last year alone, it gained a 60 percent growth and is now considered as the most trusted pharmaceutical company based on brand equity. “We’re happy to have Ms. Susan Roces as our partner as she’s a very credible endorser and whole families can relate to her,” says RiteMed gen. Mgr. Vince Patrick Guerrero. “She generates a high level of trust from the consumers.”![]() |

Susan is having another milestone as she celebrates her birthday on July 28. In her honor, RiteMed will conduct free medical missions for the poor in various areas. And what is her birthday wish? “Good health, of course!” she says. “Not only for me but for everyone! Sana maging malusog tayong lahat lagi.”
