She also welcomes working with a young director. “First time ko ring makatrabaho ang director namin ditong si Chris Martinez and he’s definitely one of our more talented young filmmakers today. Wholesome and heartwarming ang buong movie na puedeng panoorin ng buong pamilya. First time ko ring makasama ang stars ng both two top networks dito, with JC Santos, Gabbi Garcia and Baeby Baste as our children, kasama sina Andrea Torres, Daniel Matsunaga, Sue Ramirez, and Ruru Madrid na first time napagsama-sama in one movie. They’re all very professional and very talented kaya ang wish ko, maging blockbuster sana itong ‘Meant to Beh’ para magkaroon ng Part 2 at makasali uli kami next year.”
Didn’t the actors from different networks feel uncomfortable while shooting together? “Sabi nga noon, baka magkailangan o magkahiyaan sila, pero hindi naman. I think we were all just excited to work together, kasi dati naman, walang boundaries ang mga artista because of network affiliations. Ako, I used to work with everyone. I worked with Viva, with Regal, with all companies and all co-stars, walang problema to be paired with anyone. Sa bagay, I come from a different era na wala pang social media. Today, the fans and almost everyone feel they have the right para panghimasukan ang careers and private lives ng mga artista because of instagram or twitter. Everyone can bash anyone and they’re all very negative, which is sad kasi it’s not really helping the industry. Before, we’re just one big family. E, ngayon, kanya-kanya na, kampo-kampo na. So support our movie, ‘Meant to Beh’, kasi bihira magkasama-sama ang mga artista from different networks. Let’s have unity, not division, dahil Christmas season naman ngayon.”
