Because of this, Dennis Evangelista, the line producer of “The Significant Other”, intervened and wrote his own piece on Facebook: “Being the Line Producer of the film ‘The Significant Other’, na-witnessed ko ang insidente. Multi awarded director Joel Lamangan instructed both Lovi Poe and Erich Gonzales to be very realistic in this cat fight confrontation scene. The scene is so intense that an accident happened. What you saw in the video is that Lovi Poe is the only one slapping Erich Gonzales, but hindi po yan ang kumpletong video para i-judge and blame Lovi Poe.“I love both Lovi and Erich Gonzales but the truth is no one is to be blamed in this kind of accident. Kaya duguan si Erich, tumama ang kamay niya sa hikaw ni Lovi sa sobrang lakas ng sampal niya dito. Again this is also part of this intense scene. Nakahikaw si Lovi hindi para sa intensyon na paduguin ang kamay ng kaeksena niya kundi accesories talaga yun na nilagay ng kanyang Stylist since we are supposed to be doing a high end fashion show in that scene.
